Namely, because Peter went across almost the entire country, sticking them up as part of his massive campaign to counter racism. It’s great actually seeing the images come in. I’ve been trying to vet it a little bit because the first thing that occurred to me is that if I offer to give away posters for free people would just go, “yeah, I’ll have a free poster to stick up in my bedroom”. Creating An Icon and Challenging Australian Identity

For that image, I knew I’d have to search to find the right image that really hit home. I played around with different words to put on it. When it comes to posters, economy is super important and needs to convey the message as quickly as possible. And then 2016, the AUSSIE posters and they sort of continued on. It’s sort of a series. I think I’ll just continue because they’re really endless photographs in the archives and it really… it cuts to the dynamic between nation and race. That is kind of an inexhaustible problem or inexhaustible tension. Enjoying the Freedom to Create

If it was really about helping people and seeing those people helped, then you’d do something more closer to the ground essentially. And when it comes to doing that politically, you have an instinct what people want to see or hear. Getting Lost in the Cause

Maintaining Momentum

It is kind of a slightly expensive process in terms of getting ready. As a medium, it’s perfect for doing large print runs.
